The Smarter Way of Using Car-Sharing

Car-Sharing increases your transport options and gives flexibility to plan your transportation budget. The following tips can help you use the Car-Sharing service more effectively:

Plan Your Trip

  • Make allowance for unexpected delays such as traffic jams
  • You can drive safely and enjoy a pleasant trip if you do not have to rush
  • Identify the best route to reach your destination and refer to online resources for latest traffic information before starting your journey

Practice Safe Driving

  • Familiarise yourself with the basic controls in the car before moving out of the parking lot
  • Do not fiddle with the radio or other controls while driving
  • Do not exceed the safe speed limit on the road

Extending Your Reservation

  • Extend your reservation early. If given more time, we can better assist you
  • All extensions are subject to availability of the vehicle
  • Please return the vehicle if you are informed that it is already booked by another member

Member’s Responsibilities

For member’s safety and for everyone to enjoy a better Car-Sharing experience, the following is an outline of obligations that every member should observe and comply:

  • Return the vehicle on time and back to the designated reserved parking lot as another member may be waiting for it
  • Keep the vehicle clean and remove all litter before ending the reservation
  • Vehicles are returned with at least ¼ tank petrol
  • Members are responsible for observing and complying with all applicable laws, regulations and rules. Member are fully responsible for and shall pay all fines, penalties, losses, claims and/or damages, including the applicable administration fees

Please Report:

  • Any detected mechanical defect or fault
  • Any new damage to the vehicle caused during the member’s usage
  • Any accident even if the member is not at fault and/or the police are not notified

Please DO NOT:

  • Smoke or carry offensive smelling items in the car
  • Carry pets in the vehicle
  • Allow any other driver to operate the vehicle. There is no insurance coverage for unauthorised use. Only the member who has the reservation are authorised to operate the vehicle

Lost & Found

Car Club does not assume any responsibility or liability for personal belongings left in Car Club vehicles. Members are advised to check and remove their personal belongings before returning the vehicle key. The member should go back to the vehicle and check when he/she suspect that he/she has left his/her personal item in Car Club vehicle. If not, the member may email to contactus@carclub.com.sg to report and the membership service will let the member know if the item was found.
